Wolfram Foerster
As a member of the European Patent Office’s senior management, Wolfram headed up various key departments, including the Controlling Office with responsibility for production/productivity management and budget preparation and the HR department, including both recruitment and training. He also led the department responsible for the Quality Management System and for successfully driving the EPO’s first bid to gain ISO 9001 certification of the Patent Grant Process. During his 30 years at the European Patent Office Wolfram played a key role in streamlining the search and examination of pharmacological inventions and in revolutionising the patent grant process by driving the introduction of paperless search methods throughout the office sites.
Wolfram is a management and professional Huna Coach, supporting companies and senior leaders in their efforts to become more efficient and to master the growing challenges associated with business processes and staff management. In this work he focuses extensively on a mindful approach, introducing coaching techniques according to the Huna principles. As an IP consultant, Wolfram is particularly interested in supporting senior students and start-ups in the proper use of Intellectual Property, and assisting companies and government agencies in setting up an efficient IP management.
Wolfram is a trained pharmacist and holds a doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Heidelberg and an MSc in phytochemistry from the University of California, Irvine.
